Packing and fulfilling an order
Track packing progress line by line and move an order through to delivered.
Once an order is confirmed, Brine walks it through fulfillment one stage at a time — packing, ready to ship, delivering, delivered — so you always know where every order stands. This guide covers how packing progress works and how to advance an order to the end.
The fulfillment stages
Open any order to see its current stage in the fulfillment bar near the top of the page. The bar shows the full set of stages, and from a confirmed order the remaining stages are:
- Packing — you're picking and packing the items.
- Ready to ship — everything is packed and waiting for the carrier.
- Delivering — the order is on its way.
- Delivered — the order has arrived. This is the final stage.
The next-step button below the bar always shows the next step. From a confirmed order, tap Start packing to begin.
Packing line by line
While an order is in Packing, each item shows a packed count next to the quantity ordered — for example 2 / 3. To record what you've packed:
- Type the packed count into the field, or use the − and + controls.
- Tap the box icon at the end of a line to pack the whole line in one tap. It turns into a green check when the line is full.
- To pack everything at once, tap Pack all — it fills every line that isn't already complete.
The line counts track your progress as you go, and the next-step button flips to Mark as ready the moment every unit is packed. Tapping a completed line's button asks you to confirm before resetting it back to zero.
While an order is packing, its items are locked — you can't add, remove, or change quantities. Make those edits before you start packing.
Moving the order forward
The next-step button changes as you go. Once every unit is packed, it becomes Mark as ready. From there, advance the order with Mark as delivering, then Mark as delivered when it arrives. You can still mark an order ready even if some units are short — useful when you're shipping what you have.
You can also tap any stage in the bar at the top to jump straight to it.
Printing a packing slip
To print a packing slip for one order, open it, tap the ⋯ menu in the header, and choose Print packing slip. While an order is packing, you can also print the slip from the button beside the next-step action.
To print slips for everything that's packed, go to Orders and tap Print in the top right — it gathers your packed orders into a single print run.
